Renewing Roots: Paola's Journey to Specialty Coffee Farming on the Farm.

Paola is a chemical engineer from the beautiful municipality of Pescador, where she grew up amidst the delicious smell of freshly roasted coffee and tranquil natural landscapes.


After finishing her studies and two difficult moments in her life, Paola set out to manage her parents' farm during that year's harvest, during which time Paola learned about the daily activities of coffee with the help of her neighbours who invited her to their farms and gave her tips to apply in Patio Bonito.
The first year was not as prosperous as she had hoped, at that time she made the decision to reinvent herself and direct her traditional coffee growing to a Specialty Coffee Farm and with the help of her coffee friends 9 years ago she was able to start with small changes until today she has 9 hectares of coffee planted and 2 hectares of forest on her farm.
During all this time he has had the happiness and the opportunity to count on good friends from Cauca, Huila and Nariño, who have been a fundamental part of his personal and professional growth. Together they have learned to work as a team, to improve productivity and quality.
Paola feels very proud to be able to contribute with her example to her community, as she is the one who is now helping them to produce and enhance their coffees, and thus helping to improve the lives of these families who gave her a hand in the moments she needed it most.
Patio Bonito's vision as a coffee family is to offer high quality coffees and guarantee traceability.
