Finca Las Flores
Finca las Flores has been producing one of the best coffees in Colombia for more than three decades
More than thirty years ago, Edilberto Vergara and Nubia Ayure, two passionate parents, entrepreneurs and tireless workers, began the wonderful path of Finca Las Flores. At that time the land was only 16 hectares, but they dedicated themselves fully to the production of coffee. The history of this farm is marked by perseverance and commitment to a bright future.
Unfortunately, Ms. Nubia passed away in 2012, but her legacy was left for her children. Inspired by his mother and his love for coffee, Johan began researching and learning everything about growing, harvesting and processing coffee. Together with his brother Diego, they changed their production methods and entered the world of specialty coffee, where they began to update varieties and explore new opportunities.
Today, Finca Las Flores is a family business that owns several varieties of coffee, currently: Tabi, Red Bourbon, Java, Maracatura, Pink Bourbon, Gesha, Catura Chiroso.
Johan and Diego want these varieties on this farm and their dedication translates into high-quality coffee with replicable characteristics that highlight the potential of each variety. Diego is responsible for production processing and oversees coffee fermentation and drying times, while Johan becomes the artist behind the new processing methods for each variety and ensures that the coffee is of the highest quality.
