Farm Los Yarumos
Where Passion and Coffee Quality Flourish
Finca Los Yarumos was founded in 2014, the result of the vision of a group of young people passionate about quality coffee. This farm is the result of the effort and determination of a first generation coffee farmer, originally from the department of Putumayo.
The history of the farm is marked by forced displacement in 2002, as a result of the armed conflict. However, this challenge did not stop the dream of building a future around coffee. Since their youth, the founders worked hard in the hope of one day establishing their own farm, which eventually materialised in Finca Los Yarumos.
Initially, the farm operated as a traditional coffee farm. Over time, the focus evolved towards the production of differentiated, high quality coffees. This commitment motivated the renovation of crops, replacing traditional varieties such as Castillo and Caturra with new outstanding varieties, including pink Bourbon, Bourbon Ají, Ombligón, Pacamara and Caturra Chiroso.
Located in the department of Huila, in the municipality of Pitalito, specifically in the village of Castilla, at 1,740 metres above sea level, the farm enjoys a breathtaking view of the Laboyos Valley. Every day, the members of Finca Los Yarumos passionately dedicate themselves to producing coffee of the highest quality, strengthening their bond with the community of the village of Criollo to which the village belongs.
Finca Los Yarumos is more than a coffee farm: it is a testimony of resilience, innovation and love for coffee.
